From cover to a moving idea

Bring your own artwork

Choose a JPG or PNG you have permission to use. Preview locally; upload only when you choose to save after signing in.

Find the right framing

Keep your whole cover or see exactly what a vertical crop removes.

Try a little movement

Play with light and atmosphere. Pause, compare and return to the original at any time.

A loop has a rhythm, too

Three loop styles are available during source video processing. Free local light previews do not create these videos.

Continuous Loop

The ending flows back into the beginning. It needs a careful match of both image and movement.

Hard Cut

A clear edit takes you back to the start. A visible cut can be a deliberate creative choice.

Rebound

A clip plays forward, then in reverse. Some movements suit it better than others.

Know the format before you create

A Spotify Canvas is a short vertical visual in the Now Playing view. Here is what the current English guideline says.

The guideline height wording differs from commonly shared 1080 × 1920 presets. We do not guarantee platform acceptance; review any exported file before publishing.

A few things to know

Is this an AI-generated Canvas?

The local effect preview is deterministic and free. Source generation is a separate, confirmed credit request. Local test environments clearly label Mock footage; it is not a real AI result.

Does my cover leave my device?

Local preview stays in your browser. Signing in alone does not upload anything. Choosing Save uploads your cover and settings to your account. Removing or replacing the local preview releases its local image URL.

Can I download an MP4?

When a model and storage are configured, a signed-in user can generate a source, process it locally and download the saved final MP4. Local effect previews alone do not create a video.

Will the preview change my original file?

No. The preview draws a separate canvas. Your original file is never edited, and you can restore its appearance at any time.

Do I need to upload a song?

No. A cover is enough to explore the framing and local effects. No audio is requested or uploaded.
